Is she in a party? The Mama Griz Jr. Party?

Let's party.

Re: DWTS - Objective Viewership

Maybe Bristol has had some Tea Party voters--who knows for sure? Regardless, even though she is a good dancer, I disliked Brandy from the beginning, and I was fine with seeing her go. It is about dancing, but voters are also going to vote for people who are likable. That's just how it is.

Bristol stated today that there are so many people who dislike her mother, that it could have gone either way for her. I agree; she could have been voted off the first week simply because there are so many people who hate Sarah Palin. They pass that dislike right down to Bristol without any good reason; if you don't believe it, read the vicious comments on the news stories and blogs.

This is NO different than the scandal when AI fans blamed Christian voters for the win over Adam Lambert. As if Christian voters are not allowed to have an opinion.

Bristol actually got her highest scores of the season on Monday night, and I thought she did a good job. Brandy is obviously a better dancer, but she isn't as likable. Also, no one is acknowledging the underdog effect. Bristol started with little or no dancing experience, her mother's bad press hanging over her head, and a lot of sympathy because she was raised under a microscope.

I have a sense of humor. I just don't find Ferd very funny.

We haven't shared enough warm and fuzzy to get there I guess.

But of course it's me... all me... ha.

Over-reaction? This is all over the papers... America morning shows are talking about. I brought the discussion to AFF.

You guys are so freaking predictable. No objectivity at all. If it goes against your team, side, viewpoint, you will minimize, dismiss or fight to the death.

Does it really matter? If it's really up to the public, then it's up to the public. If these shows don't like that, then they can make the decision entirely up to the judges. That wouldn't be in the shows' best interests, though, because needing viewer participation is probably a major component in their ratings.

I think the Kris Allen deal was a little different... Allen was actually a qualified finalist. Bristol? Not even sure how she's still here. Much better dancers have left before her.

Not sure what the "likeability" thing is with Brandy you keep referring to. She was the princess of R&B forever and day, played Beauty & the Beast and is the epitome of Miss Disney... she's a competitor, but also a sweetheart.

Bottom line: Bristol Palin is in the finals of a dancing contest and is a pretty horrible dancer.

So, what is your reaction? Your "team" didn't win and you can't believe it.

I didn't watch the show, but I did see it last night.

I know from the friends that talk about it (and they watch) it's like Miss Bratt said - no one liked Brandy. She didn't appeal to the audience and when they are the ones voting, you've got to appeal to them too - - not just dance the best.

I think it matters, and I think it's interesting. Is this ANOTHER post that you don't and that's that?

The "wednesday morning" conversation is: what criteria are the viewers using to vote?

Actually, I like Jennifer Gray as the winner.

But in a dancing finals about of so many great dancers, I find it interesting that Palin is dancing, and I can't help but think that it's more political than letting this be about dancing. The viewers for DWTS are increasingly more middle-class, older, and white. Each season the viewership shifts that direction. It's not the same American Idol audience.
