I heard of that same idea. The idea was that the bible used them as figures of evil in various parts of the bible, like Revelation showing three frogs coming out of the mouth of the beast.
And they are kinda evil, when our dogs bring them into the house to brag about their hunting prowess.

So what about all the back-masking hooey that made the rounds in the late 70's and early 80's? "Turn me on, dead man" or whatever it was that supposedly the Beatles said. And that EVIL song, Hotel California because of the line, "You can check in but can never check out."
And when you play gospel songs backwards, you hear good stuff, like "praise the Lord". (Hmm. I did retain some things from sermons. And that one was over two decades ago! )

It's not the New Jerusalem, it's the BORG! What a coverup! lol

(The Eagles admitted that was made in their satanic years, though. I have 'em on video at a concert saying that.) Whether that was a joke is not sure.

Every Christian should be required to memorize that song.
No heaven or hell? hmmmmmmm No God?

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 KJV
I am not thinking of a specific sermon so much as a type. A type where someone of some reputation gets up and proceeds to shout the most random series of catch phrases and "amen" producing versus ("I was GLAD when they said onto ME, let us GO into the house of the Lord!") and after an hour or so of shouting and "Ha ha haaaaa!"ing, he has said absolutely nothing.
"The prophets have become windbags and my Word is not in them" Jeremiah 5:13
Every Christian should be required to memorize that song.
I have never really seen the words to Imagine written out and read them. I have never really listened to all the words. I turn it off in my mind.
I have always dismissed it as some drug induced fantasy from someone who was imagining or seeking peace without the Prince of Peace. Maybe I have pre-judged or mis-judged the song.
