No you have "backbone" to do what you THINK Is right, as misguided as it is. I respect your right to be misguided, wrong and even divisive. I think it is unnecessary though

The principle of VIDEO and TV is sitting in your lap, as it were. Yes the COMPUTER has the same ability to be a TV as it does to allow you to argue with other people on internet forums.

BTW....Best Buy will no longer be selling Analog TVs...They will sell only digital TVs...what is a Digital TV? It's a computer with a flat screen monitor and way of receiving digital content....

Surprise surprise but that is what a Desktop is or a laptop. Soon you won't need cable or an antennae....as it is many computers have the ability to plug a cable in to from your cable provider or satellite and watch stuff on the TV. But now broadcasters are sending out their content over the internet.

If Ultra Cons who have preached against owning a TV do not do the same with computers and internet then I would say that is very inconsistant.

Not only that, those that preached against all video devices like VCRs or a TV to watch them on who OK cell phones, Computers, laptops are being inconsistant too. As noted before. Most newer (last couple years) have DVD players built in. They also have software to play mpegs and other movie medias. You can play them on the CD or on the Hard drive or streaming over the internet.

You have a choice if you want to watch TV on a TV. You have a choice of what to watch. Simply owning a TV does not mean someone is sinning. Having cable does not mean someone is sinning...not anymore than being on the internet and paying fees that go to companies that eventually own and upkeep the means of broadcasting hard core porn and allowing for downloaded content even kiddie porn.

And some would rather pull their bucks out of the UPC because the UPC now allows the ability to broadcast the gospel over it.....

No one should fault you for holding fast to your convictions and i would never mock it. in fact, i understand the conviction against hollywood- it's pretty obvious what their agenda is. but just remember this. I remember when they use to preach against going to secular college. some of these same pastor's kids ended up with degrees and good jobs while saints struggled from pay check to pay check all because they obeyed the pastor. BUUUUUUUT! he changed his mind when his kids OR grandkids came along.

I have family members who hide their heads in shame at some of the stuff they preached many years ago BUT NO ONE could tell them otherwise then!! they preached against wearing Red, open toe shoes, playing marbles, reading a comic book, you name it

again, I'm just saying be careful because in 10 or 20 years technology is going to out flank all of us.

They also will need to be adding cell phones to the list.

Within a few years, ALL cell phones will have streaming video capability (some do already) which includes the ability to watch TV.

Furthermore US phones will be able to receive porn vids. It is predicted to go from a zero to $6 BILLION industry within a year.

Guess to be consistent ALL will be getting rid of their cell phones as well?
