He wasn't. The notion that there was no physical death before the fall flies in the face of logic when you consider that there couldn't have been any procreation either -if no one, human or animal, died. Imagine the situation that the planet would find itself in at some point in the future!

Hello Brother,
Would you agree that the first death to occur in earth was the animals whose blood was shed for their skins to be a covering for sin?

Why do you insist on 'logic' as the marker for what God does?

God did not offer pro-creation until the first couple were leaving the garden gate behind them...then, by the word of God, physical procreation was established.

God has all power in heaven and earth.

No I would not agree with that. Billions of barrels of oil buried MILES under the ground testify to that fact. Fossils of tiny sea creatures also discovered MILES underground by miners and drillers also tells the tale of death, at least in the animal kingdom for billions of years.

And we do not always know why God does things, in fact we rarely do, but we DO know that God cannot lie and plant false evidence for us to find forcing us to choose what believe: What we see and test (1 Thess 5:21: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good), and what someone's interpretation of the Word says. If we were having this conversation a little over a hundred years ago you would be saying "Either you believe that the Earth is center of our universe or you might as well throw the whole bible away". Actually I should have said "center of the solar system" because in a bizarre way everything is the center of the Universe based on inflation theory.

Re: was adam immortal

If an immortal being loses his immortality, was he really immortal to begin with?

If a perfect being becomes imperfect, was he really perfect to begin with?
