Two women have been placed on unpaid leave and could lose their jobs after a photo they took near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery went viral on the Internet.
No, absolutely not. If she was at work, then fine but what she does outside of work under her free speech rights is her business.....unless we are going to have companies micromanaging every part of our lives and firing us for everything under the sun.

We as a country reward disrespectful people daily. In our TV shows, movies, homes, and schools. So this really isn't surprising. But, it is offensive to me that an adult does not have the self control not to act ignorant.

I don't think she did it to be disrespectful, rather she was trying to be funny. Backfire! Granted, she was immature and insensitive...but I hope she doesn't lose her job. I suspect she learned her lesson.
Incredibly poor judgment, but I understand that she was only trying to be rebellious for the sake of being rebellious.
It appears to me that she really didn't mean to be offensive.
I would think long and hard before firing her but, I wouldn't hire her, in light of this event-- which is why I wouldn't rush to fire her.
For her to be fired for this one time indescretion could put her in a very difficult place for a long time and I don't think her intent warrants such a punishment.
