We do that as well. Actually our goal is to have a full 30 days of "regular" food in our pantry and then beyond that we will break into our freeze dried stuff. We would probably even start using the closet food sooner and mix it in with the more normal canned and bottled stuff.

I'm also looking at installing a small solar panel system on our shed which can power a small DC powered fridge.

Yeah, it's hard to say how severe, but it's coming as far as I can see. Prepping will make your life go better whether it happens or not.

LOL! Is that what you are prepping for?

My husband has been wanting to use solar for years. It's expensive though.

Of course not, but would just love to say it just to hear the narrator at the end say "While all stars eventually do blow up in either a nova or super nova, most experts agree that our own Sun has at least 5 billions years left thus making threats of catastrophic explosion in our life time unlikely."

If the sun ever were to blow up in a super nova, wouldn't that be an awesome sight to see before all the lights go out?

Ever see the movie Knowing which starred Nicholas Cage? The Sun didn't explode in that one but it did send out a massive solar flare which had the same effect on life here.

No. I didn't see that one. I'll have to look for it.

I don't do Netflix.

I'll probably have to wait all day for that video to load, but I am going to watch it.

This is the weirdest thing... last night some friends were gathered in our home, and the chem trails were part of our discussion! I am interested to see what the video says.

I think basically it comes down to eating as healthy as we possibly can, and praying a blessing over our food asking the Lord to bless it to our bodies in spite of all the evidence around us, that everything we eat, breathe, and drink is polluted with chemicals of one sort or another!
