Jesus never told his disciples to baptize in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, that is an interpolation, it was added by the early Catholic church.
Okay, I'm not sure if I've ever heard about that before...interesting though

I believe you have to believe in a person, Jesus Christ.
Wait, I'm so sorry, I thought for all this time you believed that Jesus died for all therefore all were saved regardless whether they accepted Jesus Christ or not. OK, I stand corrected. So, you believe that one must acknowledge Jesus Christ, claim Jesus Christ, trust in Jesus Christ, know that sometime in history there was a guy named Jesus Christ, but repentance isn't needed?

No. Believing in the doctrine of Biblical inerrancy or Biblical infallibility is not a prerequisite for salvation. Salvation is accomplished by grace through faith.
Similar questions would be "Do all of my beliefs have to be correct in order to be saved?" and "How certain must I be in the validity of my beliefs in order to be saved?" Recently I read a book on this subject called Benefit of the Doubt: Breaking the Idol of Certainty by Greg Boyd. I thought it was certainly worth the read.
Thanks for commenting.
I've read one of Boyd's books. Can't remember the title. Interesting book.

There were gentiles who were saved who had never read the OT and before the NT was even written, so, I think you can be saved without having it all figured out.

There were people who were saved without any scriptures at all.
Noah, Abraham and all the patriarchs, were saved without a single scripture.
Moses wrote Genesis, after leaving Egypt, 400 years later.

Before your conclusion is set in stone, you may want to read this post...Matt. 28:19 was not "added" to the Greek manuscripts by the church fathers.....

All will believe, and be saved. That is why Jesus died. Especially those that believe. 1 Tim 4:10.
