I'd send you a picture but that would let the cat out of the bag on who Been Thinkin is! Better left untold!

He lives in Arizona, I would say it is probably very well heated. Of course his dogs, or as he refers to them, his kids. Probably live inside with A/C.

Anyone else have problems communicating with your better half?
Yes... Venusians are VERY weird.

A great book that might help is titled, "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus". We have different communication styles and needs. A woman might tell me that she loves me. Okay, I now know that. I don't need to hear it every day. If things change... I expect her to inform me. lol That's just how guys think. But women... they NEED to hear it more. Because on Venus, they "share" emotions and things like problems. They feel like we're sharing our souls. On Mars... we don't. If I we want to know how you feel... we'll ask. If we want an answer to a problem... we'll ask. Unsolicited advice is insulting.

For example... if a woman talks about a problem at work or something in her family she's just wanting someone to listen... someone to "share" with her what she's talking about. It's very common for males to answer, "Well... here's what I'd do..." And we begin giving "Mr. Fix-it" advice. It's in our nature. If a man mentions a problem... we want it fixed... resolved... history. So when she's just wanting to "share" a problem... we start wanting to "fix" the problem and her communication needs go unmet and we just look like ego centric jerks. On Mars (a symbolic term for male culture) being able to find the answer is a virtue. On Venus... it doesn't matter who has an answer... and sometimes... it might not even matter if there is an answer. On Venus... they share the problem and how they feel about it.

That's a brief and imperfect example of how this book breaks down the differences in male/female communication.

It might provide some insight on some of the things that "weird" Venusian is up to. lol

Re: Women Are Weird

Women are communicators. Men are advisors and problem solvers. I think it's a proven statistic that women use nearly three times the number of words each day than men. lol

Oh, they are very comfortable. Herm, the border collie, likes sleeping on the hard cold tile and Rocky, the Lhasa, sleeps sprawled out on the bed.
