How in the world could you eat beans 6 times a day????
This is for people who have serious health problems and are at the end of their rope. I would do it if I had to. Also, she recommends a 1/2 cup 3 times a day for everyone else. You can do this a lot of different ways. For example, I am just now making some black bean brownies, which Karen Hurd would not like because they have sugar. However, I am implementing some of her information. Also, if you don't want to do the beans, you can take psyllium husk fiber instead,

I looked up her diabetes counseling session, and there isn't much left to eat after she is finished listing what NOT to eat!
Although I am sure that if any diabetic followed her plan, they would definitely lose weight, which couldn't be a bad thing...
I started with eating more beans daily for the last couple of weeks. After a few days, my whole body became sore. The nutritionist says that your body will have a reaction because you are having some withdrawl. I have noticed less adrenal fatigue (even though I have not cut out sugar completely I have craved it less). I am only taking her advice on the beans/psyllium husk for the most part but have been having good results with that.
I was getting my hair cut a while back and the woman told me that her husband was going to die from crohn's disease when he went to see this nutritionist. The dr had given him up for dead. He implemented this diet in full and is doing well today.
