I'll try to answer it for myself, from the Bible. Seems to be the act, and not the "being". Which creates a problem: some people are destined never to enjoy sex (legally), ever. Straights can look forward to and enjoy it in marriage. Gays - never. Unless they are miraculously (or otherwise) "delivered". Or "healed". Whatever you want to call it.
