Answer this? Why did GOD being BLACK to this church in the FIRST PLACE after they just suffered this same thing with the 1st pastor? N.P.U. did this very thing and bro black was voted in to clean up the mess. Since the NEW PASTOR has been voted in after T.B. was forced to resign they have now FIRED B.E. who was the MUSIC MINSTER that was hired under T.B. I was there the first day the new pastor has his first service as pastor. I told my best friend who was sitting beside me that B.E. will be fired and i told him why and who would take over the music. I felt it in the air. The new Pastors wife will be in that position. There was no reason given for B.E. being fired. He had done nothing wrong and spent his life in service to this church and was married in this church...

Before you go spreading gossip, were you there when B. E. was let go? Do you know why B. E. was let go? And did your information come from a credible source?

And also just to inform you, B. E. was a paid employee of the church and the Pastor does not have the authority to let someone go. The board has to make that decision which the Pastor cannot be one of the members of. The Pastor can make suggestions but it is the board that decides and votes on it.

As for the Pastor's wife being in that position, still at this time, that position has yet to be filled. Many people that are still at the church have contributed to the void that has been left behind, including the Pastor's wife.

I suggest you get on your knees and pray about it before you go talking ill about a man of God.

Well, he stopped his tirade after I showed him the laws concerning defamation on the internet. While the site is mainly concerning blogging, one has to keep in mind that even forum libel could be an issue. Gone are the days when you could filet someone open wide on a forum, a blog or a website. Like a certain preacher who made a Wall of Shame for those who believed in a different eschatology. He could be sued for defamation since some of those individuals didn't believe in what he said they believed. But the individuals are Christians and didn't believe in law suits against a brother in Christ.

It is a serious issue especially when the individual gives out enough information on himself so he can be identified. Having a lawsuit against a preacher or saint then coming to a public forum or forums to blab about the situation is insane.
All one needs to do is copy all the posts and offer them as evidence in a case.

LongBeachCA shows everyone right away that he has an axe to bury. So he is pretty much ignored (unless your Lois) and feed off of the corpses of Pentecostals. You're absolutely right. But when threats were been made against the senior pastor, he took preventative measures for his and others safety. Thankfully the law enforcement did not have to intervene.

A sad situation. The good news is that a church can recover. In a city I used to live in a church had a bad church split that like this was an embarrassment to the body of Christ. Before it played out when the embattled pastor would ask the church to stand during service the half with him would and the half against him would not. Eventually he left but not before the church had split with many of those against him leaving.

I wondered if the situation could be repaired and felt it would be many years for that church to heal but the new pastor was an amazing man of God who quickly brought the church together in unity and it became a great witness in that town with a lot of new converts, etc.

It will be interesting to see what happens here. Some key points to ponder are what kind of financial shape is TPC Memphis in? Is the physical plant paid for or is there a large debt to service? If there is a lot of debt and it was based on running around 800 people then they may be in big trouble based on the earlier people leaving and now this split.

With the latest group leaving does anybody know how many they are running on Sunday's now?

Many people on here are wondering about the Attendance of TPC MEMPHIS, if you are not in Memphis Tn or not a member just log onto the Website www.tpcmemphis.org. They have re did the sound system for Streaming. They already had a massive BOSE SYSTEM installed that cost a LOT OF $$$$$ now Bro P. has put in another system. Most of the people have left. IT's not the same, I wonder how the church can afford a massive new sound system in the early stages maybe they recouped some of the Lost money. More churches have been started in MS area just over the state line and many more starting up in Memphis all Preachers from TPC under TB. They just keep leaving. One thing that is very curious to me, Pastor P & TB Parents were really close. I just wonder if this has anything to do with why Pastor P tried out for the church? After he took over it didn't take long and 75% are gone.

This reminds me of the 1st meeting with the 1st Pastor that got VOTED OUT for same thing. Men were so mad at the pastor for talking to their WIVES in private in his office door locked with out the husband being present. Those men were walking towards the platform to take him down. It was a Heated thing and the decons had to hold one guy back from getting the pastor he was ready to fight. But we aren't talking about LBC grudge against UPC. We are talking about LBC posting that he has information on a child serial rapist. For the record you cannot post anything you wish and as an admin I would strongly suggest you read the AFF guidelines and perhaps google what your legal responsibility is if you have first hand knowledge of a child rapist and have not reported it to authorities as you seem to have indicated on another post on AFF recently. As at least one other person mentioned if this is true you are as guilty as the person committing the crime for not reporting it.

Not as admin but as a fellow poster I would also suggest that when you think about posting something you give it 24 hours before actually doing so. You seem to post very impulsively. I have to believe that if you are really a christian upon reflection you might moderate your posts in some cases and forego them completely in others. As your posts stand now they appear to be from a very immature or mentally unstable person. I don't mean that as an attack but as my honest assessment reading them.

There was a point in the worship service, when they began to pray out loud, when the Pastor said, "Lay your hand on your heart."

The Lord touched me just now!

We serve a REAL GOD!

He's an INCREDIBLE SAVIOR and a LOVING Father, and a GREATER FRIEND cannot be found!

They got it from the “black” church. I found it comical when they began to refer to my (former) pastor’s wife as 1st lady back in 2004.

A minister who is now a pastor one time referred to them (the pastor and his wife) as the King and the Queen of the church.
