I think it is funny that if the dude comes in and says he can't stand our praying anymore and commences to start beating on us, we pretty much all agree that we are not to retaliate. But if he comes in and just starts beating us to rob us, we are ok to defend ourselves and blow him away.
So if its Christian persecution we hold our peace, but if its not, we take out our piece.

LOL!
Again, I believe it's different when we are speaking about people persecuting us and such. The scripture mentions nothing of intruders that come to rob, steal, and kill.
It's one thing to come after my stuff. I can replace that.
It's another to come after my family. That I won't put up with.
The Bible says greater love hath no man than to lay his life down for a friend. It says nothing that my children have to lay down their lives for an enemy.
Blow them away? Only if the situation calls for that. I hope I never have to find out. That's why I live in the small towns....LOL!
