Any attempt of the Prosecution to attempt to validate Furhman's testimony would have risked attempting to validate a man that is clearly racist-- which would not have worked well in most places in America today, given the circumstances of THIS case.
Yes Furhman perjured himself, but his racist actions and racially prejudiced views are what made him an anathema to the Prosecution's case.

You said, any attempt to validate his testimony would be seen as validating this man...well that is my point exactly. Was this trial about the facts in the case or the emotional feelings of the jury? Was this man found innocent because of racial emotions? Social justice?
Trials are supposed to be about facts. What you just said bothers me because it suggests my earlier point that this wasn't about facts but social justice....get one for the black man, screw the whites. At the expense of 2 innocent victims and their families?
