I think that's probably true of every group, not just Pentecostals.

OK, as a guy I haven't exactly been in the bathroom with most UPC women as they are getting ready but I can say that I tend to agree
for the most part. I would say however that I think the gals tended to be a bit more unkept for the better part of the week (non church days) but prepared for the typical service (especially if it was a camp!) the way that other women primped for going clubbing. In fact, aside for the overall "look", there really isn't any difference.
And here is where I get a bunch of UPC gals angry, but what I usually saw was them letting themselves go after getting married and having their first kid. This is when they went from "show girl on the red carpet that is the pentecostal camp service" to the farmers wife from American Gothic.
