The way I believe NT tithing is that it is not based on Levitical Law, but given in honor as God has prospered a believer. Established by Abraham and Jacob, under the Melchisedec Order, not the Levitical Priesthood, given and not paid.
If one's salvation isn't based on that interpretation of a principle, I see nothing seriously wrong with it. I just stand against being brought under law.
