I guess my sentence is not clear enough, upon second thought.
Is it in the written word? That is how we know if what man says is of God or not, I think. The written word has proved itself since faith demands the most commonly and readily available text would be what God would be behind, since he would ensure people get it if he took pains to inspire it to begin with. He would inspire something to be written and let happenstance and chance shred it into a million pieces for no one to have a in a few centuries.

After I posted the blinky, I figured out what you meant.
It's wrong, though.
Blatantly incorrect in one aspect: God has
not made His word readily available to all people. You
know that. It's why you have missionaries. If I were you, I'd just admit I made a mistake in that post.
In another aspect, it is misdirected, in my particular case. Yes, what that preacher said
is in the Bible. You also know that. There's a large thread in this forum about the many "healing scriptures". Healing (physical healing of sickness) is promised. And you know it. Your only potential explanation of this failed prophecy is that 1) God did not tell that preacher that my brother would be healed (which, of course, is true), and that 2) God did not heal him because of the strings attached to the promises. Which also could be true. God can come up with any reason He wants to not to heal someone, apparently.
