I'll tell you what bothers those kind of Christians: it's that laws adding such protections no longer allows such Christians to pretend America is a Christian nation. You see as long as there's no mention of legal protections for gays in the laws then that somehow makes America seem more Christian and they like that... at least that's my opinion.
