Not sure Biology is the right word.
Our entire Planet is being abused by a World that has discovered OIL. The domino effect of the Industrial Revolution has caused extinction, unnatural extended life spans, toxic waste, and the ability to eliminate life on Earth with a "Bomb".
Our consumptive, over populated World is plagued with obesity and a drive to fulfill pleasure at just about any cost. This has led to higher rates of disease and mental disorders which can affect the sexuality of humans. Women who are obese are 67% more likely to give birth to an autistic child. I have worked with autistic children and this disorder can be a horrific awakening to a mother who neglected her health with processed, manmade food which is full of chemical imbalance.

When people enter a rain forest, wiping out the natural habitat of wildlife, the repercussions of this will be staggering. Imagine a family of primates, birds, or even insects, and suddenly your entire "Structure" is gone. Young are killed, mates are destroyed, and the "Home" has been burned down. Do this to Humans and watch what happens, such as what took place with Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The radioactive consequences of this event are still with us today, and the future will unfold the true carnage of such devastation.
The same scenario above is what happens to a child who has been molested; the natural securities of Nature are torn down, leaving fear, hate, shame, and confusion as the new foundation of building a Family. Physical and emotional scars are so deep that certain natural abilities are thwarted forever.
Same sex marriage and Homosexuality are the result and byproduct of a World that has been devastated with the ruin of lust and selfishness, and the future will reveal the error of allowing this poor choice of this immoral behavior.
