Timmy, to clarify my statement earlier... (sorry, it's been a busy weekend, and I just have a few minutes to respond).... about prayer in the schools...
Prayer can go up anywhere, in an instant, in a heartbeat, in any situation you can imagine, because we don't have to bend a knee or be in a certain position to pray to our God.
So, yes, of course there is prayer in our schools. If anyone anywhere wants to pray, they can.
My point was, that prayer was OUTLAWED in the schools I think in the 80s... correct me if I'm wrong....
When I was in grade school, the Lord's prayer was said over the announcements every day. We understood the basic ten commandments, of which our very society is founded upon. They were taught to us in grade school.
So, tell me this... when did we start to see school shootings?
Was it before we took God and prayer out of the schools... or after?
Of course, the answer is that we began to see these horrible events begin to take place AFTER prayer, and the ten commandments, and any mention of God in our curriculum had been effectively removed from our schools.
I don't think that this is a coincidence... just my opinion of course....
Thanks. But you used that terminology again: "we took God and prayer out of the schools". No, we didn't.
