I am sorry about your parents. I love whiskey and cigarettes. I could drink and smoke for months at a time and stop at my own discretion. I have a cousin who is an alcoholic because her dad is an alcoholic, her words.
I disagree that being born gay is irrelevant. It comes into the discussion when people who know nothing about the struggle accuse people of choosing to be gay. I don't know anyone that would choose self loathing, depression, suicidal thoughts, and rejection from God, family and friends. That is exactly what they are choosing if being gay is a choice.
Now I will clarify. I believe that a homosexual lifestyle is a sin. I think half the readers just let out a sigh of relief.
