I cannot believe it's been two years already! A lot has happened in those two years.

I used these types of things for my children. Played a lot of games, especially math, before we used a textbook. I don't think I used a math text until 5th grade - Saxon. Peggy Kaye has several really good learning games books, i.e. Games for Math, Games for Writing... I would highly recommend. I borrowed some of those from our local library.
Now, at work, my son will figure up fractions in his head and his boss just tells him to shut up. LOL! He texted me one day and said, "Mom, I just want to thank you for teaching me at home." That made me feel good, because it was a lot of pressure for me.
AND, my daughter sold a house yesterday!!

They moved and she got out of Real Estate for a while, because she was so unfamiliar with the city. Now, a woman has sponsored her, taken her under her wing and she is doing great. She makes money designing social media, business cards, you name it.
I told her the other day, "Just think that started with you trying to forge a fake ID when you were 14." LOL! She said, "You will never let me live that down." I said, "Actually, you became very talented with that little project."
Learning at your own pace is awesome.
