Get over the obl wives tale. He didn't lie. He repeated something which was told him by someone he knows and trusted was telling him the truth.


Again, he didn't claim it. He read what many people read and believed it to be true. That's not a lie.


He didn't know they were untrue! I hope you've never once in your life believed and repeated something which was told to you, or read something which turned out to be false. If so, by your warped definition, that makes you a liar.

You've completely missed the point. You expect, demand even, that these ministers be perfect and never have a bad day, repeat a false report or use a stock photo in order to be anointed. God doesn't. Peter wasn't perfect, yet God used him to preach on the Day of Pentecost.

It is you who demand that the man be accepted regardless of the message. This is declined. Sorry.
