Re: How Modernized Is Apostolic?
My maternal grandmother, who was raised Roman Catholic and primarily in their schools, was quite intrigued when I started attending an Apostolic church with my father.
She broke up the syllables within "Apostolic" differently than we do. We say Ap-o-stol-ic and she would say A-pos-to-lic. I'm not too well-read on my Catholicism history, but apparently where she came from they spoke of the Catholic Church and their adherents as being A-pos-to-lic.
Just a little interesting tidbit.
