For years, however, she was still big on praying to Mary, and she did daily ritualistic Hail Mary's. She eventually saw that our prayers could go directly to Jesus, and that He alone was all that we needed.

That’s wonderful. Many Apostolics believe everything has to go through the pastor. But they criticize the Catholic for their belief in the pope.
