How Modernized Is Apostolic?

She broke up the syllables within "Apostolic" differently than we do. We say Ap-o-stol-ic and she would say A-pos-to-lic. I'm not too well-read on my Catholicism history, but apparently where she came from they spoke of the Catholic Church and their adherents as being A-pos-to-lic.

Yes. This happens evidently. I was talking to a Catholic acquaintance and when I told him I was Apostolic he got excited. He thought I must be like the Catholic Church.
