I don't have family support either.
It's proven to be a case of being willing to take out a lot of loans (that will indeed need paid back later...ack) and creating, or finding, support networks.
It's also proving to be a case of making a lot of personal sacrifices. I don't regret them too much, but I am feeling burned out and tossed about a little right now. I am planning on taking a break this summer to see if I can recharge a bit. But that leaves me trying to figure out finances without financial aid...not so much fun.
