Mt 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Jesus was speaking this to Peter, His disciple. Does this apply to all of us or was it only relevant to that one situation?
Jesus could have called a legion of angels to fight for Him but He didn't and He left us an example of how we are to be in this life, in this dark world. Harmless as doves and wise as serpents.
