My posts were entirely in response to the very premise of this thread, wanting to know on what basis preachers preached against makeup. I gave some VERY highly acclaimed NON RELIGIOUS material in reference to the WHY MEN and WOMEN around the world wear makeup, and the FACT that antrhopologists who have NO DOG IN THIS FIGHT, recognize the wearing of makeup in particular Lip makeup, eye makeup and cheek makeup as being attempts wether conscious or not, to send out a subliminal message to the opposite sex that they are in a state of sexual arousal and ready for an encounter.

That is the conclusion of many anthropologists. Take it or leave it, but to go into gales of denial of that observation by again NON INTERESTED in the morality aspect of it scientists is kind of ridiculous.

YOUR question of wether it would be the same thing to cover up some disfiguring skin condition I made VERY clear was NOT what we were talking about.

Personally if a woman wants to tattoo a star in the middle of her forehead, what is that to me? A question was asked at the start of the thread, information that was pertinent to the answer was given, and in true pentecostal fashion, the mere proferring of unpleasant facts sends some readers into orbits of nuttiness and denial. And brings out an emotional response rather than a cerebral response that reflects THOUGHT.

Because this wasn't an emotional response...
