In other words - the beer is not going to help.

The teachable moment should have been "I messed up folks. We should never prejudge a situation without all the facts or cry racism everytime we aren't happy"

But the idea of a teachable moment and having a beer with the cop to discussion racial issues pretty much implies the original accusation...this was about a white cop vs a black man and not rather a white cop vs an irate citizen
