IMO, he didn't come across as sincere.

Not trying to be argumentative or belabor a point, but how do YOU know he wasn't speaking from the heart?
When my father passed, he had made stipulation in writing before hand that he wanted his oldest child to speak at the service...that was me.
Because it was going to be a difficult thing to do, and because I did not want to forget anything important I wanted to say, I wrote it out ahead of time. I even practiced speaking it...and I sincerely meant every word of it.
So I'm asking, how do YOU know someone wrote it for him and he wasn't speaking from the heart?
AGAIN, Ron, I watched it with my own eyes...I looked at the man's expressions and mannerisms.
I could be as wrong as wrong can be, but I felt his pain and sincerity, and it wasn't based on hearing his voice and words, but was by SEEING it with my own eyes.
The point is...I don't know for FACT he wrote it himself and wasn't acting, but YOU don't know for FACT he was.
And until you have proof otherwise, you are making an unjust judgment based on what you HEARD.
If you felt he didn't mean a word if it, fine...that's your opinion.
But to say it was scripted by someone else or an act, and make it seem FACT is a judgment we aren't qualified to make.
We REALLY don't know...do we?
