Case in point - Anderson Cooper's biased reporting - and the 10 Baptist Missionaries who could not or would not or did not pay the $60,000 BRIBE the crooked Prime Minister of Haiti demanded so they threw them in a horrible jail. The whole thing was about MONEY! Been there - DONE THAT! The officials there are CROOKS and they demanded $$$.

You cannot believe ANYTHING you see on these documentaries.

I did not give Benny Hinn or Tiger Woods or the president of Coca-Cola any money and I don't care WHERE they sleep or how much money they spend!

I wonder WHY "Apostolic" people are obsessed with what everyone else does and then when questions are asked about their Prophets and Potentates - the answers are not forthcoming. Could it be - You don't KNOW how much the ones in your camp, org, movement - make? Why not?

Did you believe that NAU was as stupid as he looked when he was in the rocking chair avoiding the questions with John Ankerburg or Walter Martin? I wish he had not submitted to go on there - but he did it and it make him look terrible and that is exactly why he should not have gone on.
If I were BH - I wouldn't answer their questions either - they never stop and they ALWAYS twist it & edit it - to make a Christian and a Preacher look like a money grabber or immoral.

AB, I agree with you that the media is not the friend of the Church. They will distort, they will pick selective things to report on, and the such like. however, there is one thing the world has in common with the church, and that is that NO ONE likes a hypocrite. BH opened himself up to all of the things that were made public. NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE has the right to stay in the most lavishly expensive hotel suites spending money that was donated by some gullible foolish people under the guise it is being given to further the gospel.

When there isn't one orphaned child left, when there isn't one hungry mouth to feed, when there isn't a town, village, or city that doesn't have a church in it and the gospel preached to them, THEN the issue can be discussed. Really as long as there remain lost & hurting souls no "servant" of God should live like a king.

Again, I have no clue who you or he is and don't care to know. I do know it is the dog that got hit that yelps the most! Tender there?

There are good men in every org. I continue to preach for some men and churches affiliated with the UPC, A/G, COG and many other orgs.

When I find one to be untruthful and a thief (and yes, I have been robbed by a few in all) I just pack up my giant book, CD, tape and product table, have my body guards (all packing Glock 22's of course) take the offerings straight from the baskets to the Brink's bags and pack them in the trunk of the Limo and off we go to my MIRACLE MONEY Lear Jet and we are outta there to spend a week on the French Riviera!

My grandson is enjoying watching the cartoons on TBN this morning and I am thankful that he is not watching PBS but has something positive with the scriptures in it to watch. What you watch on TBN (I only watch when I am on it) is only the tip of the iceberg of what they do around the world. I do not defend their doctrine or lifestyles - but I am thankful that they are helping people around the world know about Jesus Christ.

I am off to minister in two jails and to pray for a few sick folks at home.

The reason I can say that some DEMAND them to live in mansions and drive Bentleys is because I have seen them GIVE them mansions and cars and planes! There are some VERY WEALTHY business men and women that give these big time preachers MILLIONS and put them in million $$$ mansions.
I was in a meeting this week where someone GAVE a ministry an incredible HOUSE and someone else gave them an incredible CAR! No one asked them - they just GAVE IT! They wanted to give it! There was no offering being received and they gave it! I have seen people walk up and give a minister a shoe box stacked full of $100 bills (over $25,000) and said - this is for you and your family.
It is hard to believe it if you don't see it happen but I have seen it.
I can say I have seen and heard about everybody there is to see and hear and I have given most everything I have ever had into the ministry and NOBODY has ever MADE ME GIVE! I have given because I wanted too!
I gave to PTL - I did not give to Jim & Tammy Baker - I gave to PTL and am glad I did! I gave to help build Heritage USA and I gave it to GOD and not to man! I am glad I did it!
If you guys are not givers and you don't want to give - nobody is twisting your arm to give - just don't give!
I am thankful that I am a giver and give out far more than I even have to give to see the Gospel of the Kingdom preached around the world.

Just because people are handing out mansions, doesn't mean Paul accepts that. He accepts the cross life, and acknowledges his freedom and even "right" to receive gifts, but remains a servant.

Give to the cause of people in need, not heralded ministers. Give to ministers to help them live, not to help them build an empire.

I don't watch the fund raising but I guess some do. If you do see them fund raising - isn't it usually for TBN? They do not get that money - TBN does and what the minister do in the fund raising telethons is NOT what they do in their crusades or conferences.
Why are people that give "victimized"? I just don't get your obsession with these guys raising finances. I am sure some had a problem with Jesus and Paul when they dealt with finances too!

Me thinks AB is one of those "charismatic" prosperity teachers and one of his own is getting scrutinized and he is here to the defense.
