The OT is full of types and shadows. The guilt of sin is not removed without a blood sacrifice because without the shedding of blood there is no remission. If you had read the "forever long" posts I gave you on baptism you would find that the blood of Christ is effective at water baptism when the penitent believer receives a spiritual circumcision, the removal of the body of the sins of the flesh from the conscience...ie: remission of sins.
