I believe that Anne of Green Gables, much like Miss Potter, don't make us feel bad about the kissing scenes because the movies are not written with a sexual or even a sensual undertone. They present a wholesome and natural attachment.
A movie like Zorro with Catherine Zeta Jones and Antonio Banderas was, intentionally, written with a sexual undertone. This is the type of movie that we try to avoid watching or owning.

Yes, I agree with what you are saying (although I don't know what is in Zorro). I was trying to make a point that there is a difference. Of course, sexual attachment is also wholesome and natural, but I believe it should also be private.
