Ha...maybe I should explain myself better.
Yes, Jesus knows but his followers also know. What I mean by knowing is that there is an assurance in my heart. This is something that cannot be explained. It's something that you just know. Furthermore, a real born again person's live will not contradict walking in the Spirit. He/she will manifest the fruit of the Spirit too.
In matt 7, they claimed to know Jesus, but Jesus says he NEVER knew them. On the other hand in
John 10, Jesus says he knows his sheep and his sheep know him. So yes, if you are born again, you will most definitely know.
Jn 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
The Mormons might claim they "know", but their doctrine CONTRADICTS the very words of Jesus. Now, I know there are doctrinal arguments even among born again believers (which ought to be respectful, but usually not..lol). However, after a mormon tried to convert, I know for sure that their doctrine is just plain wrong.
Some of what I remember off the top of my head:
1 They believe that the book of mormon is ANOTHER TESTAMENT of Christ.
I But the bible NEVER spoke of another testament coming.
2 They believe that Jesus came to the Americas to spread the gospel. )The one who spoke to me said, it is even possible that Jesus also went to Africa to spread the gospel). According to him, Jesus did this to spread the gospel to the world so that not only Jerusalem had it's environs had the gospel.
II But that is direct CONTRADICTION to Jesus telling his disciples to go into ALL the WORLD. Why would Jesus tell his disciples to go into ALL the world and then he (Jesus) now decides to quickly run ahead of them?
3. Joseph smith saw God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
III The bible says NO MAN can see God. Only in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the visible image of God
4. The Aaronic priesthood is continued and John the baptist anointed Joseph Smith
IV Seriously? That is Just funny. The Aaronic priesthood was done away with. Jesus' priesthood superceded that of Aaron
These are just the few I can remember right now. I don't doubt that the mormons are kind natured people, respectful and all that, but they have some weird doctrines that ADD to the FINISHED work of Christ.
At the end of the day, religion tries to ADD or REMOVE (most cases, add) to the WORK of Christ.
It's either Jesus Christ alone or nothing at all.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
