The text this woman read was the size of a business card. You get that right? It was a fragment.
The text merely read "Jesus said to them 'my wife'" which is not much to go on. You get that right?
Jesus said to His disciples "My mother", does that make the disciples literally His mother? Did you get that Timmy?
Did you get that what Jesus did NOT say was "he said to her, my wife" as if he was describing a woman as someone he was married to? You don't get that?
Timmy let me sum it up this way. Timmy, a business card sized fragment of a parchment that leaves out MOST of what was written is not much to go on nor is the words "Jesus said to them, my wife"....you don't get that there are words missing that might explain this better in context?
I thought it was pretty clear. Timmy it's absurd to draw the conclusion Jesus had a wife from that. Is that understandable?
It must be clear since I understand it.

Did you notice the quotation marks (single, because they are within a quotation)?
"Jesus said to them, 'my wife'"
The punctuation is likely not in the original, but it indicates the translators' understanding of who said what. It (if the translators are correct) indicates that Jesus spoke the words "my wife" to "them" (His disciples), at some point in the conversation.

Or alternatively: Mary is n[ot] worthy of it.
Why would Jesus marry anyone knowing he would die at a young age? And why wasn't his widow at his crucifixion and why wasn't she included in the implied command to John to take care of Mary his mother. Does Jesus only care for his mother? None of this makes sense with scripture.

I'm a little confused about one thing: Would it be somehow awful if Jesus had a wife?
I read stories like this with interest, and while I wouldn't be willing to accept it as "definitive proof" that Jesus had a wife, it doesn't bother me.
Why be defensive or worried about something that doesn't affect the Gospel one way or the other?

Jesus also said to THEM "My mother"
Notice the quote, Jesus said to THEM my wife
Not Jesus said to her not Jesus said to them my wives

Yes Timmy I did notice

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
I read it to mean that Jesus was speaking TO the disciples ABOUT His wife.
Not that He was addressing "them" as "my wife...."
Of course, the most obvious conclusion in light of other scripture is that he was referring to "His bride"--the Church.
