As for the Varnums, I thougth they were still under the UPC listing... whether they are or aren't , i like their church... personally I wouldn't wear one but I know a lot of people who do.
as far as it being catholic, there are a lot of things that we participate
in our society that has pagan Roots including our calendar. each month represents a different god- did you know that ? we would have to live in cave to avoid all of it.
