In fact, if y'all are as serious about praying over every single situation that could cause your death, then I suggest you not wear the seatbelts in your car, disconnect the airbags and anti-lock brakes, cancel your homeowner's insurance, and take all the locks off your windows and doors. Afterall, you have enough faith to say without a doubt that God is never going to let you die at the hands of a madman. If He is going to do that for you, then surely you will never get hurt in a car accident, home fire, or ever have anyone break into your home either.
Bro,

I will just disregard your second paragraph, as it is hogwash. It does not represent what we have been saying.

Now please answer my question, because I do not believe you did.

At what point does one obey Matt 5 where it says to "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you"? Is it only if you are preaching at the time you are assaulted that this verse is applicable?

I guess my question really is, at what point does Matt 5 kick in. Is it only if you are preaching at the time you are assaulted?

Bro. Matt, trying to get astraight answer around these libreal Apostolic would be sinner killers is not going to happen.

All they do, is ridicule and make light of your Christian attitude with their twisted posts.

So sad.

Rico,

This isn't a valid argument.
Buckling my seatbelt, making sure the backyard Barbecue is out, etc, are all precautionary safety matters that have no bearing on some one else.

The plain fact is there is one question that remains unanswered.

Can a New Testament Apostolic, Holy Ghost, Jesus name believer, get away with blowing some one away?

Scripture please.

I've answered your question in previous posts. In fact, I gave you an example of me loving my enemy.

As for my second paragraph, it very much applies, because it is you and OP who are saying, "Just trust God." If you're going to just trust God, then you should be consistent and not limit God in the protection He gives you.

Rico, the things we have power over, we need to attend to.
The things we don't have power over--trust God!

Ron, it completely applies. You mean to tell me you can trust God to not have a whacko break into your home and kill you, but you don't trust Him enough to not wear seatbelts in your car? What is the difference? Either way, you are trusting God to protect your life, right? If you don't need a gun to protect your life then you don't need seatbelts either.

You don't have power over when your house catches fire, do you? How about when you have a car accident? You can prevent someone from running into your car from the rear? Stopping some nut from raping my wife is something I most certainly do have power over. I only need enough to point and squeeze the trigger, and pray I don't miss.
