Frankly, I think there are many preachers today who recognize that, but are afraid to offend those who would think they're "removing the old landmarks". However, I think our loyalty needs to be toward the Word of God, not to man's traditions.

I will add that most of my peers (preachers/pastors under 40) are struggling with that same issue... How do we stay loyal to our apostolic forefathers, mentors, Bible teachers, and parents YET DISOWN traditions that are in conflict with the Word of God?
I believe that God is challenging us to reaffirm ourselves to HIM! How we do that, will be unique for each person.
