Re: Post UPCI Gen Supt. Election Questions
*sigh*
If you guys want to doubt PM's motives in spite of the fact that he stated his reason, then be my guest--it's a free country. However, I find it disturbing that we can't or won't accept another Christian's explanation for their actions.
Why haven't any of you called up PM and asked him directly about his reason[s] for withdrawing his name? Are you interested in the truth? Since no one can REALLY know a person's motives except God (and that person), I would think you need to either pray and ask God to reveal PM's motives to you, or ask PM directly.
I am OKAY with conjecture and speculation and discussion--until a person states their specific motive. After that, further (contradictory) conjecture or speculation is basically calling that person dishonest. (And sometimes there's reason to do that--but I haven't seen anyone present any compelling evidence that PM is a dishonest man.)
I'm not comfortable with that. Even when I feel doubt, I feel compelled (like mizpeh) to CHOOSE to accept their explanation.
