Why would President Obama WANT America to look weak?
Why would President Obama WANT the marginalizing of American influence for good around the world to happen on his watch?
Many people do not want America to continue to be the "world's policeman". So when America takes a step back from that role, the evil ones make their moves.
We can't have it both ways.
Either we want America to be influential around the world, or we want America to let someone else be the world's policeman. We can't be the world's policeman without the threat of force. Policemen without the threat of force are nothing more than security guards who's duty is to observe and report.
