Arrrggghhh.....You just inadvertently landed on one of my major pet-peeves.
Old fable.....some people walk up to a church and see the devil sitting on the front steps weeping. "What's wrong?", they asked him. "Those people in there are blaming me for everything and I had nothing to do with it."
And pet-peeve #2....when the desperate "worship leader" or preacher isn't getting the response he wants, so he plays the "Let's make the devil mad" card.
